Baku Heritage Tours

A booking platform for a tour company in Azerbaijan: travellers book and pay online in their own language, and partner hotels sell tours to their guests and earn commission.

The client

Baku Heritage Tours runs tours in Baku and across Azerbaijan. Their customers are travellers from all over the world, and the hotels those travellers stay in.
They came to us with a first version that worked but had been built in a rush, before a real design existed. Our job was to turn it into something they could grow a business on.

What they needed

  • A site that sells: easy to browse, easy to book, easy to pay.
  • Something visitors from many countries can read in their own language.
  • A way for hotels to book tours for their guests and be paid for it.
  • One place for the team to run the whole operation day to day.

What we did

Design

A new look across the board, from the logo and app icons to a rebuilt back office with light and dark modes for staff who live in it all day.

The website

Travellers search and filter tours, add them to a cart and check out without making an account. They can add extras to a tour, like a private guide, a transfer or a photo package. Promo codes and gift cards work at checkout. Every booking comes with a ticket and a QR code, and an Inspiration blog helps people decide where to go. Anyone who wants something custom can request their own package.

Ten languages

The site is available in ten languages, including English, Azerbaijani, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Chinese and Korean, so most visitors read it in their own.

Hotel partners

Partner hotels book tours for their guests and print tickets with their own branding. They earn commission into a wallet, can offer their guests a discount, and can pass a share on to their own staff. The team approves partner requests from a single queue.

Running the business

A back office for bookings, check-in on the day, waitlists, refunds, reviews and translations, with access set by role, from owner to operator. Every important change is logged, so nothing happens without a trace.

Being found

We rebuilt the pages so search engines and AI assistants can actually read them. A blog article went from a few readable lines to the full text. Every page is marked with its ten language versions, old links redirect to the new pages so no search ranking is lost, and a sitemap lists more than 330 pages.

Marketing that adds up

Google and Meta record each purchase once, with the real amount, and only when the visitor has agreed to cookies. The client sees what their ads actually bring in.

Emails and reliability

Booking confirmations arrive with the invoice and every traveller's name, and replies reach a real person. Behind the scenes, automatic checks catch mistakes before they reach a customer, and the data is backed up.

Where it is now

The platform has been taking real bookings since August 2026, and we are still working on it with the client every week. It is live at bakuheritage.com.
