Routly

Our own product: one short link that sends every visitor to the right place, the App Store on an iPhone, Google Play on Android, a web page everywhere else, and shows you exactly who clicked.

Why we built it

App studios and marketing teams run the same campaign across ads, social posts, emails and printed flyers. Each place needs a link, and each phone needs a different destination. Without a tool, people share several links, guess which one worked, and lose the visitors who land in the wrong store.
Routly is the tool we wanted for our own launches. We designed it, built it and run it ourselves.

What it does

  • One link for every campaign, that knows whether the visitor is on iPhone, Android or a computer.
  • Clear numbers on every click: which country, which device, which website sent them, as it happens.
  • Tools to test and control: compare two destinations, add a password, set an expiry date, or print a QR code.

What we did

Design

A complete visual identity, from colours and type to every screen, designed to be readable for everyone, including people who use screen readers or prefer less motion.

The website and dashboard

A homepage that explains the product, and a dashboard where customers create links, tag them by campaign, target them by country or device, and open links straight into an app. Each link has its own analytics page, with a live feed of clicks, and customers can share a public version with their client.

Smart insights

An assistant reads a link's traffic and explains in plain words what is working and what is not, so nobody has to study a chart.

Accounts and payments

Sign in with Google, GitHub or a link sent by email. Subscriptions and invoices are handled for the customer, and they can connect their own sign-ups and sales to see which links actually earn money.

Behind the scenes

An admin area to see users and links at a glance, with a switch to turn off any link immediately if it is misused.

Being found

Search engines and AI assistants get everything they need to understand and recommend the site. When someone pastes a Routly link into a chat or a social app, it shows a proper preview card instead of a bare address.

Emails, security and reliability

Eleven branded emails, from welcome messages and receipts to a warning when someone signs in from a new device. Sign-ins are protected against stolen sessions, traffic is rate-limited against abuse, and the data is backed up daily. We test those backups by restoring them.

Where it is now

The first full version was ready within days of the first line of code, in July 2026, and we kept building on it into August. It is live at routly.link.
